In so doing, we work with our clients to reconcile complex dilemmas whilst balancing the well-being of their various stakeholder groups.
Let’s just say our DNA is different, proudly different.
Let’s just say our DNA is different, proudly different.
OUR APPROACH
NorthPoint was designed to overcome the traditional silos between different professions, such as strategy, project management, operations, commercial management, and technology solutions. These are commonly practiced through a one-dimensional lens which inhibits complex strategy and transformation program formulation and implementation, through misaligned approaches and methodologies.
This has allowed us to build a powerful body of knowledge that has solved some of our clients’ most complex and long-standing strategic issues.
Strategy is our “due north”.

DAVID ALLAN
Partner
David is dedicated to keeping problem-solving fresh, sharing ideas across different sectors, and driving high-impact strategic change. He has a broad perspective that is not limited to any specific industry and values critical thinking when approaching any situation.
With his strong academic record, extensive experience in executive management and owning business and operational outcomes, he possesses a rare combination of skills that enables him to develop deep insights into complex problems that can withstand rigorous scrutiny and gain support from all levels of the organisation to ensure maximum strategic value that can be sustainably delivered.
Since joining NorthPoint as the practice lead for strategy and transformation, he has been retained by numerous executives as their trusted advisor to solve their most complex and long-standing strategic issues. He is well-respected in the industry for his management expertise, strategic thinking, and keen business insights.
David’s focus is always on incorporating innovative technology and business practices in a relevant way that is anchored to the company’s strategic goals. He has a unique ability to elicit the real value from technology innovations and working practices, combining it with cross-industry insights, to create impactful strategies that avoid the pitfalls of trying to bolt on emerging technology and business trends to a legacy business model.
David is a dedicated individual who values the importance of ensuring that strategy is genuinely thought through with credible insights and is planned properly for implementation, thereby avoiding the common and costly pitfalls of sprouting numerous unaligned projects or launching “transformation programs” that are flawed from the outset.
David has cracked numerous strategic problems for our clients that have historically stagnated or have failed on multiple occasions prior and developed clear pathways forward that captures the maximum possible value. Key examples include developing and leading a wholesale business and technology transformation program in the public safety sector, that had failed on numerous occasions prior; designed and delivered a modern manufacturing strategy for a NSW Government Agency, that incorporated end-to-end business practice improvements across Government and local manufacturers; developed the separation program plan for the carve-out of a major business division in the transport and logistics sectors; developed the strategy and transformation plan to merge of three organisations into a truly new and integrated business and operating model that leveraged the combined capabilities of the previously organisations.
ANNA NGUYEN
Director
Anna is a highly experienced consultant in strategy and strategy implementation, delivering high-impact business performance improvements. She has a strong track record of solving many long-standing strategic challenges.
Since joining NorthPoint in 2019, Anna has solved some of our clients’ most complex business challenges as well as assisting them in implementation, including acting in an interim management capacity to help a client execute a high-yielding strategy; delivering an implementation strategy that paved the way to successfully implement a three-way merger that had previously stalled due to a high degree of complexity and ambiguity; and developed the strategy for a complex business-led technology transformation that had previously stagnated for over ten years.
Anna’s capability spans core business strategy and realising strategic business outcomes, incorporating a broad range of business domains, such as modern manufacturing, financial services, law and justice, innovation and technology, and energy.
Leveraging her business strategy and implementation expertise, Anna is also able to solve complex digital technology issues to deliver true customer centric technology-enabled business products and services, as well as uplifting the performance of internal technology teams, in a way that far exceeds pure technology advisory alone.
